Been to a few good gigs this year, not least Hatebreed and The Haunted (supported by Municipal Waste), but I have high expectations for the Summer. Firstly there’ll be Machine Head riding off the back of their class new album The Blackening, we’ll have Slayer on Tuesday(why do bands hate Irish fans?) the 26th of June in the real capital, then Day of Darkness on the 6th and 7th of July, with ENTOMBED!!!!! et al but the real highlight for me is going to be Wacken 02-04 August, too many bands to name but the craic is going to be mighty and there’s a few Galway heads this year so bring it on I say!
